Check ICE Detention Releases

To find someone released from ICE detention after Beaver County custody, begin with the county movement record and then use the federal immigration locator. No official source identified Beaver County Jail as a dedicated ICE detention facility. Still, an ICE detainer can produce a direct handoff when the local basis for confinement ends. That is not community release. ICE’s locator can cover current and recent immigration custody, while release paperwork and the responsible ERO office provide stronger detail about reporting terms after an ICE detention release.

ICE Custody After Beaver

ICE detention is federal civil immigration custody. It is separate from a Beaver County criminal case, Pennsylvania state imprisonment, and a federal BOP sentence. No current official source in the project research identifies Beaver County Jail as a dedicated ICE detention center. A case-specific detainer or transfer can still connect the systems.

ICE describes a detainer as a request for notice and, where legally applicable, continued hold for up to 48 hours beyond the otherwise scheduled release so ICE can assume custody. Thus a Beaver jail record can say release to ICE while the person remains confined. The destination field and receiving record are crucial.

Search ICE Beaver Transfers

The ICE Online Detainee Locator System, or ODLS, offers two search methods. The most precise uses an exact nine-digit A-number and country of birth. Follow ODLS instructions about leading zeros. The biographical route uses full name, date of birth, and country of birth.

  1. Obtain the A-number from lawful case or release documents when possible.
  2. Enter all nine digits and the correct country of birth.
  3. If the number is unavailable, use exact biographical details and try known name forms.
  4. Record only the facility or status details needed to verify custody.
  5. Contact the responsible ERO office when the result is absent, delayed, or unclear.

ODLS excludes minors and has spelling, processing, and data limitations. A person newly transferred from Beaver County may not appear at once. A name can also be entered differently across systems. Do not publish sensitive identifiers merely to document that a search was made.

Important: An ICE detainer or ODLS match shows an immigration custody path, not a conviction and not community release.

ICE Recent Release Window

ICE’s official attorney resources state that ODLS includes current detainees and people released from ICE custody within the last 60 days, subject to exclusions and upload lag. It is not a complete historical release archive. After that window, an empty result is inconclusive.

The official scope explanation is shown in the captured source:

Review ICE’s ODLS scope and recent-release limits before drawing a conclusion.

ICE Beaver County recent detention release locator scope

The limited window makes release paperwork and ERO confirmation more important for an older event.

No result may reflect age exclusion, spelling, processing lag, the recent-release limit, or a record outside public scope. It should never be rewritten as “not detained” without further verification.

Verify ICE Release Terms

Physical release from ICE detention can carry separate obligations. Release paperwork may identify ERO check-ins, alternatives-to-detention reporting, address duties, or other case-specific terms. These are distinct from immigration court dates. The immigration court manages proceedings; ERO manages custody and supervision functions.

Use the actual document whenever possible. A locator result may confirm recent custody but may not show each term. Counsel with authority can use ICE’s attorney information resources. Family members should follow official contact channels and avoid assuming that a verbal estimate is a guaranteed release time.

A-number
The immigration identification number used for an exact ODLS search.
ERO
Enforcement and Removal Operations, the ICE component handling custody functions.
Detainer
A request connected to notice and possible transfer to ICE custody.
Alternative to detention
A community-based immigration monitoring arrangement, not jail custody.

Note: An immigration court date and an ICE custody release date answer different questions and come from different records.

ICE Release Records Contact

No Beaver County ICE facility address should be invented because no dedicated local ICE detention center was confirmed. Start with the facility named in ODLS or the responsible ERO office. For the local sending record, contact Beaver County Jail at 6000 Woodlawn Boulevard, Aliquippa, PA 15001, 724-378-8177.

Ask Beaver County for the movement entry showing release date and time, disposition, authority, and destination or receiving agency. That record can establish a transfer to ICE. It cannot establish a later ICE release. For the federal event, use ICE documents and channels.

Historical 2018 Beaver jail material referenced ICE detainee handling, but it does not establish a current contract population. Do not use old policy language to claim that a person is now held locally. The current individual record controls.

ICE And Criminal Custody

A local criminal case and an immigration custody case can overlap without becoming the same case. The Pennsylvania UJS docket can show Beaver bail, disposition, sentence, or commitment. It will not function as an ICE locator. Likewise, ODLS does not explain the full result of the county charges.

If Beaver County Jail closed custody due to a detainer, reconcile the jail entry, criminal docket, and ODLS result. If a U.S. Marshals hold is involved instead, use the federal court and USMS path. If the person served a BOP sentence before ICE custody, the BOP Released status proves only the end of BOP custody.

A transfer may occur quickly after the local basis ends. For that reason, a court release order alone cannot prove the person walked into the community. The jail destination and receiving system answer the physical-custody question.

ICE Release Evidence Order

For a recent handoff, the strongest chain begins with the Beaver jail movement entry and named destination. ODLS can corroborate current or recent ICE custody. Release paperwork identifies the later ICE event and any reporting terms. ERO can clarify a current location or official process when public search is insufficient.

For an older ICE release, the public locator may no longer show the person. Keep the A-number and case documents. Use official federal records channels or authorized counsel rather than treating a blank current search as proof. Agency records can also be restricted or redacted.

The Beaver County Jail release page explains the sending record, and the Federal BOP page separates federal criminal custody from ICE civil detention. Those system lines prevent one “released” label from obscuring a continued transfer.

ICE Beaver Timing Limits

Neither the Beaver jail record nor ODLS should be treated as a live countdown. The county entry can record when its own custody ended, while the federal system may need time to receive, process, and publish a transfer. ICE attorney resources warn of upload lag. A same-day empty result therefore calls for ERO follow-up, not a declaration that the person was freed.

For pickup or contact planning, rely on instructions from the current custodian. The research did not establish a routine Beaver release time, a public ICE pickup point, or a guaranteed transport schedule. Court dates, local release processing, detainer action, transport, and federal intake can occur on different timelines. Only the named agency can confirm the current step.

After an ICE release, keep the paperwork. It can state the event date, responsible office, check-in requirements, and other conditions that a public locator does not preserve. A recent ODLS result is corroboration, not a substitute for that document. After the public 60-day scope ends, the paperwork becomes even more important for establishing what happened without exposing sensitive identity data.

Protect ICE Record Privacy

Immigration records can include sensitive personal and family information. Use the minimum identifiers needed for an official search. Do not expose an A-number, birth date, or protected document in public. ODLS itself excludes minors, and juvenile records must never be routed through an adult released-inmate lookup.

Report only the custody fact that can be verified. Avoid claims about immigration status, relief, or the likely outcome of proceedings. Those questions require the person’s documents and qualified legal help. A release from detention does not end an immigration case, just as release on bond does not end a Beaver criminal case.
